Eva Joly

Eva Joly (b 1943, Norway) is a lawyer, French politician and author.

Eva Joly is well known as an investigator and magistrate in French corruption cases. She contributed to exposing economic crime in the bank Crédit Lyonnais and the oil company Elf Acquitaine. From 2002 until 2008 she was an advisor for the Norwegian Ministries of Justice and of Foreign Affairs. In 2009 and 2014 she was elected to the European Parliament as a representative of the French Green Party, Europe Écologie Les Verts.

In 2023 she and Nina Witoszek published the book Det blåøyde riket: Norske tillitspatologier (The blue-eyed nation: Norwegian trust pathologies).
