Sold out. Too much trust?

Norway is the country in Europe where the general public has the greatest trust in the governing powers. Most people are happy with this: we call it the trust society. But is it exclusively a good thing? Eva Joly and Nina Witoszek published a book earlier this year entitled The Blue-Eyed Kingdom, in which the premise is that Norway is such a trusting country that it is not critical enough towards those in power and that this creates an environment for corruption and in the next instance breached trust.

Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, former Minister of Trade and Industry and currently an editor in the newspaper E24, moderates the conversation between Joly, about how Norwegian trust has been misused both by peace brokers and by business leaders, and by politicians, as we have seen many instances of in the last year.

The event will be in Norwegian.
