Oil and corruption in Norway and Nigeria

Norway and Nigeria have more in common than many people might imagine – for instance oil. And corruption in the oil industry. Norwegian Evy Joly, a lawyer, author and politician, has for many years been known in Norway and France for her work in anti-corruption and her concern for the environment. Nnimmo Bassey was awarded the Rafto Prize in 2012 for his work that revealed how protecting nature and the environment includes the protection of human rights. The author, architect and activist is also active in anti-corruption work in Nigeria, not least in issues of ecological corruption and crimes in the oil industry. Joly and Bassey meet Jostein Kobbeltvedt, executive director of the Rafto Foundation, in a conversation about oil in Norway and Nigeria.
