Tormod Haugland

Tormod Haugland (b 1962, Norway) is an author. He has published novels, short stories, poems and drama.

He trained as an agronomist and has a higher degree in graphic illustration from the National College of Art and Design. From 1992 until 1993 he attended the Writing Arts Academy, and between 1998 and 2008 he was director of the academy. He made his debut with the novel Under. Since then he has published 16 books. The most recent, Om livet på jorda (On life on Earth), came in 2021.

In 2021 Tormod Haugland was Festival Poet of the Bergen International Festival.
