Nora Krug

Nora Krug (b 1977, Germany) is a German-American illustrator and author.

Trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Berlin University of the Arts and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Krug works as an associate professor at the Parsons School of Design in New York.

Her illustrations and stories have been published in newspapers, periodicals and anthologies worldwide. She received a lot of attention for her graphic autobiography Heimat: A German Family Album (2018), which gained the American National Book Critics Award that year, and was published in several countries.

In autumn 2023 she published Diaries of War: Two Visual Accounts from Ukraine and Russia.
