Illustrating a war

Right after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Nora Krug contacted a Russian-born
Ukrainian journalist and a Russian artist. Based on her weekly correspondence with them
over a year, Krug published her book Diaries of War: Two Visual Accounts from Ukraine and
Russia in the autumn of 2023.

The book does not attempt to present a Russian and a Ukrainian perspective, or to compare and contrast the experiences, but rather to describe the personal consequences of the war for the two anonymous sources.
