Erlend O. Nødtvedt

Elias Dahlen

Erlend O Nødtvedt (b 1984, Norway) is a poet and novelist.

He made his debut with the poetry collection Harudes in 2008, and published a further three award-winning collections of poems up until 2019. In 2015 he was named one of Norway’s best authors under the age of 35 by the Morgenbladet newspaper and the Norwegian Literature Festival.

In 2017 Nødtvedt published his first novel, Vestlandet, and in the autumn of 2021 came the novel The Murder of Henrik Ibsen, which was nominated for the Critics’ Prize and the NRK Radio P2 Listeners’ Novel Prize.

His most recent book is the poetry anthology Olav Nygards seng (Olav Nygard’s Bed), published in autumn 2023.
