Elisabeth Eide

Elisabeth Eide (b 1950, Norway) is a media researcher and author. 

Eide is professor emerita at Oslo Met. As a researcher, Eide's research interests include conflict and peace journalism and the marginalization of various groups in the media.

She has an extensive non-fiction writing career behind her and has also written several novels.

In 2012, Eide received the Ossietzky Award from Norwegian PEN for her efforts to promote freedom of expression.
