Brit Bildøen

Tove Breistein

Brit Bildøen (b 1962, Norway) is an author.

She trained as a librarian, studied sociology and has also been a student at the Writing Arts Academy in Bergen. She made her debut in 1991 with the poetry anthology Pictures of men, since when she has written several novels, children’s books and essays, and is also responsible for translations of prose and poetry. She has received numerous awards, including the 2023 Dobloug Prize. In the same year she published the novel Yellow Warning.
