Mary Ruefle

Mary Ruefle (f. 1952, USA) er ein poet og essayist, med ein litterær karriere som har vart nær fire tiår.

Mellom hennar mange bøker er Madness, Rack and Honey: Collected Lectures (2012), som var ein av finalistane til National Book Critics Circle Award. I 2010 fekk samleutgjevinga hennar, Selected Poems, William Carlos Williams-prisen. Den nyaste samlinga til Ruefle har tittelen Dunce (2019).

Ho har arbeidd med fleire ulike sjangrar. Mellom utgjevingane hennar finn ein også ei teikneseriebok: Go Home and Go to Bed! (2007). Ruefle er også ein såkalla «erasure artist», og hennar handsaming av verk frå 1800-talet har blitt stilt ut på ei rekke museum og galleri. Mellom dei mange prisane ho har motteke kan ein nemne litteraturprisen frå American Academy of Arts and Letters, Guggenheim fellowship og Whiting Award. Ruefle er busett i Bennington, i Vermont.
