The Shadow. Dance performance

The solo dance The Shadow is commissioned for LitFestBergen. Inspired by the poems of the Greenlander Pivinnguaq Mørch, it is a staging of a poem about the loss and alienation and an embodiment of how we live with our shadow sides. Shadow aims to say something about the struggles we fight with ourselves and with the world: shadows do not exist on their own; they are never without a source of light.

To be a human is to be a body. The body tells its story whether we want it to or not.  We show who we are through the way we breathe, walk and talk. Who am I when I can no longer hide – either for others or myself?
