New stories and powerful machines

LitFestBergen is especially proud to present the debut author Julia Martinčič, who won the festival's 2021 international writing competition. Martinčič will be speaking to the director of Skrivekunstakadimiet (the Academy of Writing Arts), Sivert Nesbø, about her short story collection Hjertet er en alien (The heart is an alien), with stories about alienated people and powerful machines in this world and the next.

Martinčič is herself a former student of the Academy of Writing Arts, and after the conversation with her, you can get an insight into what is currently happening there.
