Mona B Riise

Mona B Riise (b 1972, Norway) is a journalist.

Mona B Riise has studied literature, media and communication at the University of Oslo, and has followed further studies there in political science. She has many years of experience as a reporter for music and arts programmes for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, including Kulturstripa and Lydverket, and has been a member of the expert panel in Stjernekamp. In 2022 Mona B Riise made a documentary film about Lillebjørn Nilsen, a popular contemporary folk singer.

In 2018 she published Norsk pop-poesi (Norwegian Pop Poetry), a collection of poetical highlights from Norwegian pop, rock and rap, in which she has also talked with song text writers about the process involved in writing successful pop music.
