Cherilyn Parsons

Cherilyn Parsons (b. 1963, USA) is the former director of the Bay Area Book Festival and now lives in Paris.

She holds a master's degree in professional writing from the University of Southern California, and has worked as a fundraising consultant, travel journalist and book reviewer.

She founded and directed the Bay Area Book Festival from its inception in 2005 until May 2023.

Previously, Parsons worked in journalism, project development, and fundraising for the award-winning Centre for Investigative Reporting and other journalistic organisations. She has also worked as a travel writer and photographer in Asia. In Paris, she is writing two books of her own and exploring new opportunities on the international literary scene.
