Anne Katrine Bang

Anne Katrine Bang (b 1966, Norway) is a professor of history at the University of Bergen and an author. She has a PhD in Arabian history.

She has written many non-fiction and subject books, including Rastløs, eit essay om å reise (2005), and Zanzibar-Olsen. Norsk trelasthandel i Øst-Afrika 1895–1925 (2008).

She debuted as a fiction author in 1997 with the novel Kunsten å unnslippe. Since then she has published the novels Hold i virkeligheten (2003) and Tid i taushet (2006).
