Film: The Poetess

Saudi Arabia’s Hissa Hilal signs up for the TV programme A Million’s Poet, which is seen by 75 million people. She becomes the first woman to reach the final, where the top prize is USD 1.4 million. During the film, Hilal become clearer and clearer in her criticism of the religious leaders and their fatwas. But we do not get to see her face. Hilal is attending LitFestBergen.
