Nazneen Khan-Østrem

Nazneen Khan-Østrem (b 1968, Kenya) is a British-Norwegian author and editor based in Oslo. 

She was born in Nairobi, but grew up in Britain and Norway. After several years of working as a journalist in Aftenposten, and as a teacher of journalism at OsloMet, she is now an author and editor. She has a Master’s in International Politics from the London School of Economics.

In 2005, she published Min hellige krig, examining the many faces of Islam in London, Paris, New York and Berlin in the wake of the September 11th attacks. In 2019, her nonfiction book London was described by Dagbladet as “the ultimate book on Britain’s capital city.”
