Margunn Vikingstad

Margunn Vikingstad (b 1971, Norway) is a literary critic and translator who has studied Nordic languages and literature at the University of Oslo.

She was a literary critic in Dag og Tid from 2001 to 2013, and has since contributed criticism to Morgenbladet. In recent years, Vikingstad has combined that activity with translating novels.

Her latest work in this field, Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary, was nominated for both the Critics’ Prize for best translation and the Bastian Prize in 2018.
