Henrik Skotte

Henrik Skotte (b 1970, Norway) is an artist, musician and cabaret artist, who works in such media as music, video, theatre, painting and graphic design.

With Gunnar Wærness, he forms part of artistic duo Brødet og Eselet (Loaf and Donkey), which mixes performance and poetry, review, punk and jazz. The pair’s latest book Del likt (2017) presents their distinctive song lyrics and urban myths combined with illustrations such as photographs, video stills and drawings.

Skotte studied at the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, the Musicians Institute in London and the writer’s course at the University of South-Eastern Norway. He has also taught creating writing at the Malmö Art Academy.
