Andreas Tjernshaugen

Andreas Tjernshaugen (b 1972, Norway) is an author of non-fiction works on animals, nature and environmental issues. His latest book is Hvaleventyret. Hvordan vi nesten utryddet det største dyret som har levd (2018).

Earlier publications include Gasskraft. Tjue års klimakamp (2007), Akvarieboka for barn (2013) and Meisenes hemmelige liv (2015). The last of these, about the titmouse, also reached a big audience in Germany.

Educated as a sociologist, Tjernshaugen earlier pursued research on climate and energy policy. He currently divides his time equally between writing and serving as one of the editors of the Store norske leksikon web encyclopaedia.
